Sara started Velvet Rose in 2020, during lockdown, when a gift that lasted felt more important than ever. Her rose boxes travelled across the UK and onto a good many Instagram feeds.
In 2026 we remade Velvet Rose around what customers loved most: real roses, velvet, and a box that still looks perfect months later. Fewer products, made better.
How a box is made
Every rose is a real flower, grown and cut at full bloom, then preserved with a glycerine-based solution that replaces its sap. It stays soft and keeps its shape without water or light.
In our studio in Wales we choose each rose, arrange it by hand in a velvet hat box, check it, tie the ribbon and add the gold seal. Personalised lids are made to order in the same studio.
DHL Express then collects it for next-day delivery, and we guarantee the roses’ shape and colour for 12 months.
